FORGET the warring Gallagher brothers... it's their women you should worry about.

I'm told Noel's partner Sara MacDonald and Liam's girl Nicole Appleton just can't stand the sight of each other.

Their feud has got so bad that the couples travelled separately to the Glastonbury festival.

Sara and Noel refused to join Liam, Nicole and their pals Tamzin Outhwaite and Kate Thornton on their deluxe bus to Somerset.

Fun-loving Nicole had organised separate transport for the children of the band so that the adults could enjoy themselves on the way down.

But Noel and PR girl Sara, 33, decided to make their own way in a chauffeur-driven car.

When they arrived, pretty Sara disappeared backstage while blonde Nicole and her pals got into the festival spirit by guzzling glasses of white wine in the VIP hospitality tent.

My mole tells me: "Sara and Nicole seem to have a real problem with each other.

"It's been going on for some time. Everyone close to them knows that they just don't get on. It puts even more strain on Liam and Noel's relationship.

"And as everyone knows the brothers don't need an excuse to have a scrap."

The source added: "Sara and Noel are very close and are quite private compared to Nicole and her showbiz crowd.

"The brothers are keen for them to become friends but it hasn't worked out so far.

"Nicole and Sara are like chalk and cheese."

Public school-educated Sara started dating Noel, 37, in September, 2000 after the break-up of his marriage to party organiser Meg Mathews.

The couple married in 1997 at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas but within months cracks started to appear in their relationship.

Later, Noel grew tired of Meg's hard partying ways and they split eight months after the birth of their daughter Anais.
