I was thinking about this today...with everyone going on about Liam's voice.. I was wondering if anyone could like choose one song such as Columbia or Supersonic.. a song that they have done consistently through the years.. and maybe take one line like "there we were now here we are" and go through some boots from say 93 threw 2004 ( not for every year, maybe like 5 of them) and take that line and string them together so we can actully hear the depletion of LIam's voice....DOes that make sense? Can anyone do that for us? I would but I don't have the programs...

well it's sadly obvious, in fact i remember that back in '96 i heared once in MTV's news that someday Liam with his neglected attitude about his voice could possibly lost gradualy his particular tone... so it has been.

The main reason Liam's voice has changed is because he's getting older. This is probably made worse by heavy smoking I like both his younger voice and his mature voice. Put it this way, his younger voice suits the songs from Definitely Maybe/Morning Glory and his voice now suits songs like Scorpio Rising. Does anyone think that Scorpio Rising would sound better with his voice 10 years ago?? After hearing the 2 new songs, it's clear to see that because Liam is now writing songs himself, the songs suit his current voice more.
Liam's voice isn't getting worse, it's just aging.

I was listening to the album version of Supersonic earlier today and if you gave somebody who didn't know Oasis they wouldn't believe that it was the same singer as it is now!

I totally agree with you mate. His younger voice was for the songs back then, he's older voice is for the songs nowadays like Scorpio Rising and The Hindu Times. They should focus on that, and not letting the old classics been ruined..

I think if you did this comparison to other songs like Live Forever or Some Might Say, you'd be shocked at the difference. there's a definite degradation in his voice between 95 and today. The one show that still makes me cringe, and I don't care how many people tell me otherwise, is the 3rd night at Finsbury. Nowhere near his performance vocally. On the flip side, there were some shows in 2002 where he sounded great. so go figure!

You have to be deaf not to hear the depletion of his voice though, its not some theroy, its a fact. I am personally talking about it because I am more concerened then, trashing them. Liam needs to quit smoking and drinking so much , or he's going to sound like Tom Waits... and they won't be able to coutine on..dykwim?

I think that Liam's voice at Glastonbury sounded mint, if anything Noel's voice was the one of par. 'Little By Little' sounded weak, vocally. I dont think he's voice has got worse, it's matured.
