On Friday night Oasis played to the massive crowd gathered at the Pyramid Stage. Popular hits including Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Supersonic brought the end of the first day of the Glastonbury Festival to a buzzing climax. But the Gallagher brothers failed to meet the high expectations of many eager fans. source:http://www.ananova.com/entertainment/story/sm_1001261.html -------------------------------------------------------------------- they met my expectation and doubled it.

SKY doubles up with this piece of shit report : Friday, the opening day of Glastonbury, saw Oasis headline to a mixed reception. Classics from the band such as Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Supersonic went down well but some said the performance lacked passion. Singer Liam Gallagher also dedicated the hit Hold On to the despondent England football team.
WTF

critical opinion of oasis is always negative, their a band that people love to hate.. at times i wonder if any of the critics watch the performances or already have a poor review ready to be printed... "Passion" did anyone else see the strain on liams face?? he gave that performance eveything he had , as did the rest of the band, including Zak Starkey,, hopefully he stays on with the band!! ive seen oasis many times live and that was full of passion

The BBC's glastonbury page is a little critical too - "Oasis Underwhelm - A lacklustre performance draws a muted response from the crowd" and on another page - "Audience reaction was divided over the greatest hits set delivered by Oasis on the main stage last night" Its one thing for the critics to do their usual moaning but i'm surprised the audience wasnt overly impressed.

I love that hit "Hold On"!! Not as much as "How Many Special People Change", or even "With All The Things Caught In My Mind". Those songs rock! ;D

well when i saw it most of the crowd enjoyed it singing along to dont look back in anger and wonderwall especially..
but remember it wasn't majority oasis fans..
if it was 150,000 oasis fans now that would be a different story..
