Heœ not as good as Alan... Im listening Supersonic and it sounds really strange! Zak has problems with rythm in this song - you can hear it in the beggining and than during whole song.... Well, he´s different drummer than Alan, not as good, but the sound is alright... but changing rythm through whole song....well, it hardly interrupts me

at least i know i'm not the only person who knows that zak starkey blows whitey right out of the water.
here's my take- the set was so much more powerful, while whitey would have just made this usual set really boring. as usual.
if you think that whitey is better than zak starkey, i'd really like some of what you're smoking.

the set was so much more powerful, had exactly the same impression.. i know people seem to miss whitey for good..zak's drumming is undeniably different from whiteys style.. so, concluding in the words of paul mccartney: "it rocks, it sells, shut up."

he's definitly not bad or he wouldn't be playing with the bros. but we discussed it with a friend that actually doesnt like oasis - he's more into harder music - and he said starkey can sure play. it's just oasis are pretty much a guitar band and having one pretty "explosive" - he does add a lot of kickdrum where i couldn't here it before right? - drummer here doesn't exactly fit... it's true that there were a couple of mistakes though but it was his first gig and it will sure be better next time.

OK. I understan that he is different drummer than Alan, maybe he has more experiences... The sound is ok, but please, explain to me, why he´s changing rhytm during Supersonic - is it a mistake or he wants to play it like that? Someone else noticed that?

he has nothing to do. he will never be as good as alan so u can say what u want. you know zak's still touring with the who right? look, if whitey better than zak, then townshend & daltrey would've replaced keith moon, (very) arguably the greatest drummer of all time, with whitey. by the way, whitey had the drumming skills of a teenager. i guess you don't play drums, but to be blantantly honest, whitey sucked. sorry to ruin it for you. compare the who live at the isle of wight 2000 to any oasis album with whitey. there's more passion, more energy, and overall BETTER DRUMMING.

Someone else noticed that? i noticed a change from whitey when he replaced tony. i remember people were so pissed about whitey replacing him. i'm sure you guys will get over this as well.

Zack sounds brilliant on Bring it on Down. Its different yeah so what. It was different when whitey replaced tony aswell. We shall live with it and Zack is a great drummer and a good bloke. Give him some time before you all start knocking him and shit.

Id say he was absolutely amazing at glastonbury. On My Generation he was one of the best drummers ive seen, proving that he can play the best when he thoroughly knows the song!

I reckon thats bullshit. It came from some german magazine and the only site had carried that news is sadsong.net. Its not that im knocking the germans or anything but why would they have that info and not some british source.
