What does everyone think of Noels recent behavior during gigs in Germany , Switzerland and the UK. He lets the audience know that he does not want sing -alongs during Wonderwall, and ofcourse the audience sings along after which Noel just stops the performance and curses everyone out.... I believe he want's to sing it the "Ryan Adams" way. Is that the correct approach to winning fans over?

it ain`t winning fans over but i`m kinda on noels side. swearing at the fans is just typical oasis and not really a big deal for me. And the part about the fans singing over him and stuff - as a professional musician i think noel does like the chance every now and then, to actually entertain the crowd rather than just sit there like a living jukebox, churning out the bands greatest hits. He wanted to play them the new ryan adams version and they just wanted the old one. I heard Kurt Cobain was pissed off at his fans coz they made him play Smells Like Teen Spirit at every single gig. I can definitely sympathise with them but then again its us fans who make them the money the customer is always right ;D

The customer is right, yes, that most definitely the truth or what we all are accustomed to.. In this case I think he is more pissed off at Liam's recent behavior and since they are barely speaking, he is taking it out on the crowd. You can't expect fans to all of a sudden stop singing along, when they have been doing that for a while now, and probably some look forward to it. I admit- I love to sing a long (not too loud b/c I would scare off the person next to me) but it makes a concert somewhat more intimate and personal. I am lucky to have never experienced an Oasis show where Liam has walked off for his reasons, or for Noel to get cranky at his fans for singing along. I do respect if he is truly wanting to entertain, but I am not sure that is his case. If so then he would have put a stop to the sing a long a long time ago.

I was at lille and he told us to shut up but obviously we didn't so he stopped and played married with children. I wasn't bothered cause I heard him play wonderwall at the soundcheck. I just think it's understandable. He plays the ryan adams version which is a lot slower and diferent than the normal one so if everyone sings the normal one then it's very hard for him to try and play the other version. I'm not sure if anyone gets what I'm saying...fuck it :toothless:

When the fans are singing the version from the WTSMG? album Noel might find it difficult to play the Ryan Adams version because he is so used to playing the old version he will need silence from the crowd so he can concentrate...i think thats it
