TAM TYPING... altho you did not change yer avatar yet I will reply.. haha 1.) Noel and I have no probs with greatest hits type albums,, esply if you are just getting into an artist/band.. ~ Legend, Imagine soundtrack, working class hero ~ I love Plastic Ono Band and Live in NYC.. ~ Need to get the Lennon Anthology ! defo ! I am excited for you. I got turned onto lennon at a very young age... John was not only BEAUTIFUL but man he just had something to say.. ya feel it when he sings it.. enjoy... I also rec'd renting or purchasing "Imagine" on DVD.. it cld just be ME, but it's a great "date" movie to watch...

I'd recommend "Imagine" or "Plastic Ono Band". In those two albums, he sheds the image of "Beatle John" and becomes his true self. If you have a bit of extra cash, get the new Lennon greatest hits that just came out on the 4th. "Double Fantasy" and "Milk & Honey" are decent, but unfortunatly almost every other track has Yoko singing.

Imagine, Plastic Ono, Mind Games, Walls and Bridges, and Rock' N Roll are all mega. The man was a genius.

I'd have to go with Imagin. Greatest hits ruin the art of an album. Always best to get the real thing

In 1971, John Lennon flew from Heathrow Airport to New York, he never set foot on British soil again.
God bless.
