In chronological order:
Revolver Wish You Were Here The Stone Roses Definitely Maybe
Any one from Abbey Road/The Dark Side Of The Moon/The Queen Is Dead/(What's The Story) Morning Glory?/The La's. If pushed I'd probably go with The La's.

Haha, I admit it is a bit unusual, and it's a really difficult one as I don't think there has ever been a band who release albums that are so consistent in quality. Likewise with many of my favourite artists, the 'best' album alternates from day to day, but Valtari has more of a nostalgic tinge to it. There's some films, books or pieces of music that resonate more immediately than others. I was already very familiar with Sigur Ros's music, but I guess that album resonates emotionally as to where I was when I first came upon it. Sometimes albums when you first hear them just align perfectly with the person you are at a specific moment in time, and I guess Valtari is one of those albums.

1. Arcade Fire - Funeral 2. QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf 3. Radiohead - OK Computer 4. Oasis - Definitely Maybe 5. Arcade Fire - The Suburbs OT, but related to your post, I like In My Head, Go With the Flow, and No One Knows by QOTSA (yes, mainly just the more mainstream ones), and I love the driving riffs & Josh Homme's singing, but I'd like to check out more. What would you suggest?

What would you suggest? If you want an album then just go for Songs for the Deaf. It's probably their heaviest and best and has Go With the Flow and No One Knows on it. For songs, Little Sister, 3's & 7's, Make It Wit Chu and Feel Good Hit of the Summer are probably their most well known outside of the ones you've mentioned. I'd say their best songs are Better Living Through Chemistry, ...Millionaire and A Song for the Dead. I'd suggest just going for Songs for the Deaf though, it really is a fantastic album.

I would say either Lullabies to Paralyze or ...Like Clockwork of you want to have a constant singer. I know some people dont like the punk tracks where the old bassist sang so those albums without him would be my choice.

Hmm, not sure about Lullabies as I'd say it's on of their worst but you might be right about ...Like Clockwork. It's probably the softest so maybe the easiest to get into. Nick Oliveri only sings on a couple of songs on Songs for the Deaf anyway doesn't he? I suppose there's Mark Lanegan on there too.

I would say Lullabies is the best up to Someone's in the Wolf but after that it dives. Diferent singers on QOTSA albums SFTD Millionaire, Another Love Song, Six Shooters, Song for the Dead LtP This Lullaby And I cant remember.

Amongst the tracks kingcrawler has mentioned I'd definitely check out Regular John, The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret, First It Giveth, Medication and a whole bunch from . ..Like Clockwork. That album and Songs For The Deaf are safe bets. Oh, and I agree that ...Millionaire & A Song For The Dead are their best, with Regular John probably being 3rd for me.

Seems like some of the titles are like a mockery of a mainstream pop music (Make it Wit Chu, Feel Good Hit of the Summer), I like it. Will definitely check this album out, thanks!
