I'm just curious to know...coz i went to their Brisbane, Australia concert about 2 weeks ago by chance, (my mate scored free front-ish row tickets somehow) and the quality of the performance was something special.
Ive never really listened to any of their shit, apart from a few famous hits...is there any huge fans here? And would ne one have any bootlegs of theirs!!?
Cheers Samuel!!

Got some REM boots, still can't figure out how to get YSI working to upload them. I've got both nights at The Point, Dublin, from this year...plus Boston 2004 and Warsaw/Atlanta/California 2003. Oh, and Milton Keynes 1995.
Yeah, just can't get the stupid site to upload them.

Michael Stipes voice is awesome!! and he is amazing live right? they are just the best band in the world. no more, no less obviously i am the mod that eggy spoke of. unfortunately our friend eggy is always off his tits on smack so his 'rem sucks' comment should be taken lightly.... (lol eggy - you called REM poppy? ok....not a word most people would use to describe them! you obviously havent heard Country Feedback....) i could upload a few songs for you but im not a big bootlegger. what kind of stuff are you into? do you prefer the up-tempo rock stuff or the ballads and slowies? Automatic For the People - everyone should own that album.

Daysleeper...I know what you mean, his voice is very decent, even when he is singing those up tempo songs...the words still sound so crisp and clear, if that makes sense!! Its just coz im very biased towards Noel/Liams voice, that i spose i would need to listen to REM a thousand times to appreciate them like you do!!
Both up-tempo/ballad are very decent...i'm keen to here a live version of Daysleeper, Bad Day and definately Man on the Moon!!
That would be sweet as if you could post a few!! And thanks for trying to upload drummert5, YSI does seem like a bitch of a program to work

All the REM albums in thier first decade (from Chronic Town to Automatic for the People) where completely awsome. After that they kinda went downhill.

i'll upload a few tracks tomorrow if i dont get drunk i have some great live versions of 'daysleeper', 'electrolite', 'perfect circle', 'end of the world as we know it' and some others... but i dont have a good mp3 of man on the moon so if anyone has a good un then upload it please btw, i completely disagree with the widespread and popular opinion that REM went downhill after 'automatic for the people'. 'new adventures in hi-fi' is probably the most under-rated album i can think of. its a hidden modern classic. and 'up' is awesome.

i was very impressed with rem live. stipes is truly master of all the puppet masters.
that boy can pull all the strings and make the fans believe he is sincere.
i have a problem with people who hang with courtney love.
how do you excuse that filth?

sorry- i think stypes is sincer- that courtney creature sucks all honesty out of human beings.

Love it! Such a mature, wise bunch too regarding reunions; 'it would never be as good'. They also stopped at the right time too. I don't think they have a bad album, I don't even dislike Around The Sun (which is bland at worst).
