Let me introduce you to Adam Green.
Once one of the greatest indie heros of the noughties, Green is still enjoying increasing popularity in a a number of European countries. But I'm not sure if he established himself in the United States.
His LP Gemstones is one of the records, that I've listened to the most in my life, since I was an early teenager. Back then I probably couldn't understand half of the humorous lyrics. But I've always liked his entertainer voice combined with the Wurlitzer piano.
Just like one of his biggest influences Jonathan Richman, who became influated by the Velvet Underground, Adam Green lived in the orbit of an other similiar NY band The Strokes. His great-grandmother, Felice Bauer, was engaged to Franz Kafka!
It was great to put his music back on, because I feel he appeared somehow forgotten

I saw him joining Babyshambles at the Beschaving Festival in Utrecht in 2008.
It was my first time seeing The Cribs with Johnny at the same festival and it was mental. Pete Doherty and his men were standing at the side of the stage and watching The Cribs.

Pete Doherty and his men were standing at the side of the stage and watching The Cribs. Splendid! It's great to see that he continued his friendship with Doherty and Barrat after the Libs broke up. I hope I get the chance to see him live when he comes to town. I've just watched Au Coeur De La Nuit with Adam Green and Carl Barrat on YT. It's a pretty interestingly embarrassing but very entertaining glimpse behind the curtain. It's like watching a little less violent version of the last storie of Mystery Train( Buscemi, Strummer) only with real characters *Thanks for merging threads.

In fact I don't know anything about him. I just saw him joining Doherty and his men at the festival. I've seen The Libertines twice and I enjoyed them. I love "Mystery Train" even if it's just because of Strummer. and thanks for merging threads, eva.
