Bono Thinks America is the Greatest Cultural Inspiration
Irish rocker Bono thinks America is the most culturally inspiring nation in the world and also says that to him it is the best place to be in.
The "U2" frontman gets angry when he hears other musicians complaining about having to travel to the States and performing there.
"Waking up in Memphis, Tennessee, where Stax was born, or where Elvis Presley cut Mystery Train or where Martin Luther King was shot dead is not crap," rate the music quoted him as saying.
"America is just full of possibilities. Nobody buys their cars anymore so it gets angry and Eminem happens, one of the great writers of the age comes out of Detroit," he added. (ANI)

I always knew the Irish **** had something to do with that fastfood consuming country on the other side of the ocean. I agree, there's nothing wrong with america, but there's something wrong with some people. Just like in other countries. But except for Britains, you people 've got a shite accent. But come on, Eminem a great songwriter? The only thing he can write about is misery and fake wangster shite. Songs should be 'bout peace and love actually.

i think Bono is tops, but there's no way in fucking hell eminem is considered a songwriter in my books, let alone any good. Bono's got this view of the american dream and how it's an amazing thing, and yes it is; the reality though, as currian mentioned can be summed up by fast food, amongst other things (shit beer, a cultural divide between the progressive and the ass-backwards, abject idioacy etc...)
