some might be suprised but my fav of his is his acoustic album days of speed.. There's songs from the jam, style council, and his solo stuff so it was the right one for me to get into his stuff...i dunno tho of his studio albums i like heliocentric and heavy soul.

trying to boost my Weller collection- what albums should I get? Wild Wood and Stanley Road are a must from his solo stuff. As for the Jam stuff, get them all! Style Council? nah give that a swerve No Im only kidding, he wrote some good stuff around that time aswell, but I'd say Wild Wood if you havent got it already.

Stanley Road. You couldn't ask for better songs and Noel appears on it. His self titled solo debut would also be worth picking up.

Wild Wood for me is the best studio record he's made. Never understood why Stanley Road is so popular, its a good record with some of the best work he's done.. but theres quite a number of not so good tracks also.
An album that i would recomend checking out would be Heliocentric, it's got no real *hits* on it but almost every song is wonderful & its quite different to his other solo records.
Agreed Days of speed is excellent, and petty much essential.
Stay clear of his self titled, stido 150 & Illumination until you've bought/heard the other records he's released.
