Some bird who i know from Germany who came to visit me copied me some CDs. They havent got album sleeves or anything like that. Just the names of each band on the CD. Ive been playing the one with 'libertines' written on it. Hadnt heard anything by the libertines before this. At first i wasnt that keen but it's grown on me alot. I was convinced that it was their 1st album. However, today I read a little review on their 2nd album and it hit me that the album i've been listening to is actually indeed their 2nd album. I was quite surprised coz it sounds very raw and dirty (a sound i like) and most bands kind of clean it up a bit by their 2nd. So now im eager to hear the first one. What's it like in comparison to the 2nd one, and if i like the 2nd one do you think i will like the 1st? Thanks...

What's it like in comparison to the 2nd one? Thanks... 1st one is even more raw and dirty, and I think you'll love that record

You will see that i think Ian Brown is god, so if you think thats R&B or hip-hop then fair enough. Although i do enjoy a bit of Talib Kweli, Roots Manuva and The Roots.

both good albums. but i was dissapointed in a way cos both albums sound very simliar. i thought the libertines would mabye have stormed the world but it wasnt to be. they will be rememberd for their bust ups instead of their music. not a good thing.
