ya i think they're amazing...i only have their debut cd but i think their other stuff is good too. I think they probably toured out of mutual respect. I think the tour was called the brotherly love tour.

Noel said the Robinsons (the brothers who fronted that band) were just the American version of him and Liam. Mutual respect as iamthewalrus said.
Their interviews were very entertaining (their Behind The Music was hilarious) and they were a good singles band but I'm not crazy about them.

shake your moneymaker... nothing else of theirs compares to it Awesome album. actually the Black Crowes were my favorite band for the longest time. Shame they are on a hiatus. I have even seen New Earth Mud to continue to show my support for Chris Robinson.

But i still like some of the stuff they came out with after that one. Thorn in my Pride is probably one of my favorite tracks off that album.

I do it for me. I like it. I’m good at it. And... I’m really... I’m alive. It’s quite simple, go to the Search feature on the forum, go to to ‘Where to search’, then to ‘where the thread title contains’, type in subject, then scroll to ‘How to search..’ and search ‘display results as threads’. There’s numerous Black Crowes threads, too…..saw Oasis with the Black Crowes for the ‘Brotherly Love’ tour, Noël came out and played a cover of The Rolling Stones ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking?’ with the Black Crowes for their encore. Great song…. God bless.

Great song…. God bless. I never knew about these covers! They did loads!! I have to track down all these bootlegs now, their Stooges cover sounds great. Each night Noel and Gem joined the Black Crowes during their encore for a cover song. These are the songs they played: Oh Well (Fleetwood Mac cover) Lucifer Sam (Pink Floyd cover) To Love Somebody (Bee Gees cover) I Dig Love (George Harrison cover) Everybody Knows This is Nowhere (Neil Young and Crazy Horse cover) Down on the street (The Stooges cover) Rebel Rebel (David Bowie cover) Can't You Hear Me Knocking (Rolling Stones cover) Road Runner (Bo Didley cover) Makes a great playlist! According to the Black Crowes fan site www.crowesbase.com there are recordings of every show but I have only heard three of the covers.

I'm a big Black Crowes fan. Got to see them a few months ago on their Happiness Bastards tour. Their new album Happiness Bastards is so good. I like it slightly more than the Rolling Stones' Hackney Diamonds.
I also wasn't aware of all those Gem and Noel appearances during the Brotherly Love tour. Gonna have to seek those out.
