In January's issue of Elle (UK version) there was an article on Lisa with some stuff in it which came as a surprise to me... "Lisa Moorish has always known where it's at. Aged 10, she was a skinhead (without a skinhead true, but she had a fred perry and braces from woolies). Then she was a rude girl, then a mod. At 15 she hung round with boy band Bros. At 17 she recorded acid house anthem Rock to the Beat Paul Weller was a guest at her 18th. George Michael sang on her version of I'm Your Man. She's seen Prince fall down the stairs at Browns, shared a flat with Meg Matthews, been signed by four record labels and now has her own kick-ass band, Kill City, on Alan McGee's Poptones label. It's important you know this because in recent years, 32 year old Lisa has been most talked about, like so many women in history, for her men. In short, for having her children, Molly, six, and Estile, one by Liam Gallagher of Oasis and teh Libertines' Pete Doherty, two of the most notorious British rock stars of recent years." ""I did an awful cover of Going Back to my Roots with Paul Weller" she laughs, "whenevr i see him he says, " That record was orful wan' it Lees?"" "In 1997, she became pregnant with Liam Gallagher's child, a week after he married Patsy Kensit. She decided to keep the baby. "I realised it was going to cause a huge tidal wave in a lot of people's lives, but i had to get on with it" Of her relationship with Liam now, she says "It's fine, I've got nothing but respect for him. There's no bad blood." "Kill City's single, Hooligans on E is out in January" Elle Magazine, Jan 05. hhmmmm....i thought it was quite interesting anyway

I actually see Kill City at the camden barfly, they were pretty good, along the same lines as strokes/killers that sort of thing.
I was only there for the clubnight but they came on at 1am which at first pissed me off because i was waiting for a DJ set from "South" but fair play they were pretty good. Had no idea that the singer was lisa moorish till i read an article about them a month or two later, never knew that she had a child with Pete Doherty either until I read that.
