U2 have confirmed that they will not be bringing forward the release date of their new album ‘HOW TO DISMANTLE AN ATOMIC BOMB’ despite the LP leaking online.

Security around the album has been tight for months, despite a copy of the CD disappearing from a photoshoot in France earlier in the year.

However, last week ‘How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb’ was leaked onto the Internet, allowing fans across the world the chance to hear it before release, but the band have denied rumours that the record would be on sale two weeks earlier.

‘How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb’ will still be released on November 22.

Speaking earlier in the year, singer Bono said that a leak of the album would make the band consider bringing forward the release, possibly via iTunes.

He said: "If it is on the Internet this week, we will release it immediately as a legal download on iTunes, and get hard copies into the shops by the end of the month. It would be a real pity. It would screw up years of work and months of planning, not to mention f**king up our holidays. But once it's out, it's out."
