just got home from the tower records show which i stood directly in front of the legend! great show! played with steve cradock for about an hour. an amazing show. after when he was supposed to sign, he "fell ill" but conveniently signed autographs on cd booklets prior & they had just enough cd import singles of the bottle to give out. a bit suspect that they would have enough autographs signed prior. but he was in a great mood but he was double fisting red wine AND rum & coke! fell ill, wonder why? the show was tops so i don't even care, i'm still buzzing from it.

did they play "no one in the world"? why the hell would he play that... it's a jam song, and pretty obscure at that.

because he played it with steve craddock too for the jam tribute album, fire&skill ... that doesn't explain why he would play it... paul generally only does 1 or 2 jam songs live, if any, usually in a different version. The songs are usually English Rose and Town Called Malice, if any... Just because Paul Weller played it on a tribute to himself several years ago has no correlation to his current setlist.

can't we all just get along? he played headstart for happiness (style council) and that's entertainment (the jam). no in the world is rubbish and fortunately he did not play town called malice. i love malice but i'm just sick of it being played (and he only started playing it again in 2001! that's entertainment was the perfect end to an amazing show. wellah, wellah, wellah!
