Cool band, just wish they could take drugs in style like Keef Richards and Liam.

aah, they are fucking amazing.
the music is so different to any other band that is out there to-day.
so clever and so special.
i have missed them twice now sadly because of drug problems and it will be a true shame if the lineup falls apart because of h-eyes.
noel said that it is time to hand the torch of rock n roll to the next generation. he handed it to the libertines.(his words)

Only listened to the libertines very recently (been really sad and decided to play on my x box, i should really learn to pick up a guitar....coz that would make me sooooooo cool!!  ). Libertines sound really good, great sound, only thing tho is that the singers voice reminds of JARVIS COCKER!! |

pete prob wont turn up! ;D yea, i think the libertines are fantastic. really cool rough sound. he did, and i have to say he made the best stage entrance ive ever seen. He came on wearing this long baige coat, sherlock holmes style, with this straw hat on. He was drugged up as fuck and just staired at the crowd for about 20 seconds and then walked forward and tripped over this leed, took his hat off and the crowd cheered. |

fuck off! if you are watching this band just to see a junky trip over a guitar lead then you have missed the fucking point!
drugs are ripping this band apart. this is a very special band. you lose this band you lose the future of rock n roll! simple .
you want coldplay or travis or even the sad band jet to be your figureheads for your generation?

They're fantastic. Their second album is superb, especially Can't Stand Me Now, The Man Who Would Be King and What Became of the Likely Lads? And Up the Bracket is the best debut since Defintely Maybe!
I wish Pete would sort himself out though!

FUCK THAT! 1. i didnt go to watch him trip over a leed, i went to watch the music, it just so happens that he did fall over the leed which made me laugh 2. they wern't that great to be honest, to fucked to play properly, so to be honest the only thing worth talking about was the drugs side of it 3. fuck off 4. Sadly drugs are id say 75% of the reason this band gets written about, and i dont care what anyone says if pete doherty wasnt a smack head the libertines wouldnt be anywhere near as big. The libertines have got some great songs but if you think theyre the future of rock n roll your taking the piss. Compare them to the beatles, the stones, the sex pistols, oasis, the clash and the stone roses and they are fucking nothing, simple as that. |
