Does anyone else on this forum rank 'Nobody Loves You When You're Down and Out' by John Lennon (off Walls and Bridges) as one of the greatest songs ever written.
Am I the only one?
BTW, top five lennon songs
Jealous Guy Working Class Hero Nobody Loves You... Gimme Some Truth How Do You Sleep?

Yes you are.
Stand By Me wasn't his song, it was a Ben E King cover.
His best songs were Imagine, Instant Karma and Mind Games.

yeah i know stand by me was a cover but he did a great version of it-probably the only really great thing he did with Spector during the Rock and Roll sessions (some people think his Be My Baby was amazing but i don't think it even compares to the Ronettes version)
but come on there must be someone else out there who loves 'nobody loves you...' I mean it is a brilliant song...the only song he wrote when Yoko sent him packing on 6 month LA vacation with Mai Pang in '74...it just drips with anguish and emotion...
please i can't be the only one.

Has any one ever heard of Nobody Loves You When You're Down and Out?
Does any one else even own a copy of Walls and Bridges?
