What is it about 'Brit Bands" that is so cool? Starting with the Beatles to the Stones to The Who to Led Zeppelin and another heavyweight with Oasis. I kind of dig The Cooper Temple Clause also. About the only band in the states doing it for me right now is BRMC. Here's to you Great Brit!

You dont wanna like a londoners accent! That what bring us down, all these american shows which portray English people with posh accents! Whats that about? For example anytime an English persons on the simpsons, has it ever sounded like Liam Gallagher na its always the bloody queens voice or somet!
Even Liam and Noel on Celebrity Deathmatch had posh voices!

Yeah, but i hope Great Britain can produce band/s as big/bigger than oasis etc.... its been a while dude I have big expectations of Franz Ferdinand - their debut is the best i've heard in ages. And when i listen to it i just feel they have an imagination, energy and style which can go soo much further. I really hope they go on to make 5+ albums and truly develop as a band. as for us brits - people call us arrogant...but hey - we have a lot to be arrogant about! the northern english accent is the coolest in the world

Most of my favorite bands are English. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Pink Floyd, Oasis. But there's a couple big favorites of mine who are American. Pearl Jam for one, and the Allman Brothers Band. Oh yes, and the Grateful Dead, and the Doors. And I can't leave out the Beach Boys.

I didn't mean to come off like all american bands were shit. I am a huge Doors, Black Crowes,Alice Cooper and Aerosmith fan. But the influence of British bands is all over most of the american groups. But then again you can't forget about the influence of Chuck Berry on everyone. John Lennon was a huge fan of Chuck. Props to another brit band Black Sabbath.

Another great american is Jimi Hendrix. My big three are British however. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Cream.
