A number of Clash tracks that had been presumed lost for 25 years will appear on a forthcoming reissue of their classic album "London Calling".
The two dozen tracks, dubbed "The Vanilla Tapes", were discovered in a storage facility belonging to guitarist/vocalist Mick Jones.
Bassist Paul Simonon claimed the rediscovered demos capture the band at their most creative, fusing different styles in what he terms as 'cinemascope'.
He said: "At the time we were constantly moving forward and as soon as something was done we were onto the next thing. You can really hear us bouncing ideas around."
Titles include "Working and Waiting", "Heart and Mind", "Canalside Walk" and "Revolution Rock".
The expanded edition of "London Calling", marking the landmark album's 25th anniversary, is set for a release on September 21st.
In addition to the original album and the demos the package will also include a 45-minute DVD documentary by Don Letts. This will feature studio footage, previously unreleased live performances, interviews with all band members (including the late Joe Strummer) and a conversation with one-time manager Kosmo Vinyl.
The new edition will also feature full song lyrics, an essay and previously unseen photos by band photographer Pennie Smith, who was responsible for the iconic cover shot of Simonon smashing his bass during a gig at the New York Palladium.
