JOHNNY RAMONE is not dying of cancer, according to his doctor.
As reported yesterday (June 16), fellow Ramone Marky said in an interview with Rolling Stone that the guitarist was battling with cancer.
But according to the latest reports, Johnny may be leaving hospital tomorrow.
His doctor, David Agus told MTV news that the illness that led to his trip to the LA hospital was a "complication from the cancer".
He continued: "He got through it, and he's now on a new, experimental therapy. He's fighting courageously, and I think he will be going home in the near term."
The band's singer Joey Ramone and bassist Dee Dee Ramone have both already died. Joey succumbed to cancer in 2001, while the bassist died from a drug overdose the following year.

funny thing happened at my school:
a popular shirt is the ramones eagle logo t shirt, especially for girls (it comes in different colors). one girl who i know who thinks she's gangster rap (mixed with upper class white girl, of course) wore the shirt. i asked her, "i didn't know you like the ramones. what's your favorite song?"
her response is classic: wait. they're a band???
LOL
that is a 100% true story- just happened 2 weeks ago. god bless america.
