ray charles was "the genius." to me, he was an american gem and a national treasure. this might sound a bit arrogant, but without ray charles, i think there might have never been an oasis and modern music the way it is now. just listen to his music and you'll see what i mean.

this man lived up to the nickname. after becoming blind, he still was able to play the piano, clarinet & saxophone better than anybody else. or close.
