JET have been forced to pull out of this month’s GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL due to serious family illness.
As revealed in this week’s NME, the Australian rockers were due to play on the Other Stage on the opening day of the festival.
However, a spokesperson for the band has told NME.COM that due to a "serious illness" in the family, the whole band will have to return to Australia.
He said: "They want to come back and play next year but unfortunately there was no other option than to go back. Jet aren’t the kind of band to pull things and they thank everyone for their support."
NME.COM understands that the slot at the festival will be taken by Badly Drawn Boy.
This year’s festival takes place over the weekend of June 25-27. The full line-up for the event is in this week’s issue of NME, out now.

That's a fair trade. I'd prefer to see BDB over Jet anyway. Just wish I had a ticket
