I didn't know whether to post this in in the guitar playing section or here but since this are of the messageboard gets higher traffic i thought i'd take my chances here. Well i know that its pretty much consesus for oasis fans, like me, to dislike the red hot chili peppers (I actually find them to be alright) but i think that they're lead guitarist, John Frusciante, is one pretty good guitarist. If you ever feel the inclination to do so, download his free acoustic album of "Shadows Collide with People" at John Frusciante.com you'll find it under "Demos" Sure the man may not be a Clapton but he sure can play acoustic. Anybody else like him? Be forewarned though his voice is at best below average compared to our Liam's or even our Noel's...lol

He is a better guitarist than Noel. His old guitar stuff is alot more complicated and skilled than the stuff he does now. Personally I think all the herione greatly affected his guitar playing for the last few years. He seems to know be getting to where he once was.

Yep i second what Ev is saying..Noel is a good guitarist and an excellent songwriter but i think that frusciante is an exceptional guitarist...as for Frusciante's songwriting...eh...its all about preference...Most of Noel's lyrics are direct and are to be taken literally ("working class music for working class people") wherein Frusciante likes to dabble in the abstract meanings of things...frusciante's voice can use some work though
