THE VERVE are to release a best of compilation in autumn.
The band, who split in 1998, are planning to release the record in October, a spokesperson for Richard Ashcroft told NME.COM. A tracklisting for the record is currently unconfirmed.
A third album from Ashcroftis tentatively scheduled for February 2005.

Two of the guys who were in The Verve - Simon Jones & Simon Tong were in a band called The Shining and they released an album couple of years ago called The Shining - it's fooking rockin' the singer had a great voice. Don't think they are together anymore though.

I'll be looking forward to the best-of. I haven't heard much of his solo stuff, but the singles are pretty good. Maybe i'll pick up the solo albums when the wallet is a little fatter.

Yeah, I'll definitely buy those.
And I loved Richard's solo albums. As he said, it's a crazy thing what people expect from him, from his solo works. It's like, he's not in the Verve anymore, he wants to do his own thing. And he does. And I love it.
By the way, that cover you suggested, it's shit. No one can cover "BSS". No one can do it properly. It's all about Richard's voice.
