Glam rockers The Darkness are not known for their subtlety, and now they won't be known for their modesty, either.
Lead singer Justin Hawkins told the Daily Star he's looking forward to next week's Brit awards because he reckons he knows the group will clean up.
He said: " The rock category was invented especially for us, so we will definitely be winning that one."
The leotard-wearing foursome are also convinced they will win three other awards.
The group are currently preparing to head back into the recording studio to continue work on their new album.

Atleast the boys of Oasis are all out rock'n'roll. Smashing reporters and Man-U fans, drinking insane ammounts of alcohol and smoking equal ammounts of cigarettes  These lads just feel like prissies with empty words and fists of foam. |

Watch the news sunday, I hear that a small but devoted band of Swedish Oasis fans are planning to do an egg raid on "The Darkness" as they pull into their hotel after the concert wich is to be given tomorrow. We'll see if they dare to act out on their threats though... There might be some plaques at the concert too if they get the tickets.

I can just see all these middle aged sales-men with ponytails driving up the motorways of Great Britian in their Ford Mondeos 'rawking' to the Darkness lol.
Im sure Jeremy Clarkson will be delighted with their Brit success.

Everyone needs to remember how many bands Oasis slagged off. Tons if you go back and count it all. I don't see people complaining about that so why we need complain about Darkness slagging oasis? Just let it go it's no big deal.
