The Coral have cancelled two shows in Ireland because James Skelly has lost his voice.

The band was due to play in Belfast Ulster Hall last night and Dublin tonight, but the shows were pulled at the eleventh hour.

A statement on the band's official website reads: "Regrettably, The Coral have had to cancel the shows in Belfast and Dublin as James has lost his voice."

The shows will be rescheduled for the new year and ticketholders should keep the tickets they have.

The rest of the tour should go ahead as normal at Warrington Parr Hall (December 16), York Barbican Centre (18) and Liverpool Royal Court (19-20).
