ROCK STAR SINGER IN A JAM

Rock icon Paul Weller was reportedly booted off a plane for being too drunk.

The ex-Jam singer, 45, was given a ticking off after swearing at airport workers before boarding a flight from Heathrow to Belfast, said The Sun.


A supervisor was called in to calm him down but a manager ruled him unfit to fly and banned Weller from the flight.

One insider told the newspaper: "Paul Weller was very abusive. He was shouting as he approached the gate to board the flight."

The singer and four of his staff eventually flew out on Tuesday to Belfast where he was due to perform a gig at the Waterfront.

A source at airline BMI, which had turfed Weller of its flight, told The Sun: "Mr Weller could hardly stand when he first tried to fly.

"There was no way he was going anywhere."

A spokesman for Weller, who two years ago vowed to quit the booze, refused to comment.
