the best song robbie did was "strong".... well and angels of course. fine tunes. however, he decreased in quality with the last 2 albums.. esp with bullsh-- like Feel & Supreme

I just can't get that clip out of my mind : Robbie bouncing on a trampoline in LA and mooning the camera for MTV's cribs, my cat wouldn't come out of the closet for 2 days after seeing it....

the difference b/w noel and the other 2 is: he's a (gifted) songwriter! robbie's musical "education" was different.
all the 3 of them can be nice in person, and each of them can be arse if they're pissed off, know what i mean. they're musicians, not angels. only robbie is a sh*t one

First off let's remember that I run a website based in the US dedicated to British rock, that said chubby failed big time over here and there must be a big reason for this....he just doesn't hack it , not in LA, not in NYC not even in Sinn City Vegas. He is HUGE in the comonwealth states, and I am sure his fans love him for a reason. Making it on a true global scale is another hurdle. I predict Robbie will remain a side show on this side of the big pond. I just happen to dig Oasis which does not automatically make me anti Robbie, on the other hand I m not pro Barry Manilow either (PS Robbie fans are welcome guests on my board, I don't dislike anyone but please let me keep my avatar, sincerely , webby.)

oasis aint that big in the usa either?
robby is a pop star! oasis are a rock n roll band. robby can never be like oasis. they know that and he knows that. its not that important webby.
not worth fighting over at all!
now, whats your fav spice girls song?

oasis aint that big in the usa either? robby is a pop star! oasis are a rock n roll band. ? I just want to add an example which speaks only for NYC. Oasis can sell out any midsize 6k seater several nites in a row or 1 gig at Madison square garden without a problem. Robbie's songs get played on one or two pop stations here but rarely. I believe he would have to book venues that are considered bigger night clubs here. He might do a bit better in LA where he owns a mansion ? Anyway he is not quite a street name in NYC allthough Coldplay would be much more known on the street than Oasis is . CP are pumped out on the top 40 adult alternative stations daily, Oasis songs get a cameo on classic Rock stations once in a while ....

yeah but still I encounter oasis and coldplay more than robbie. coldplay more so but still. He may be well known here but that doesn't mean the media like him..

hm, that depends.. dunno. teh media/press adore him over here let alone male candidates from tv-casting shows.. nearly half of the songs they take are from RW!!

I thinK i've heard his song angels?? Other then that Im not sure I know any others?? Must be b/c I am American. For the record- I love Barry Manilow!! Did fatty cover one of his songs, how insulting! But I do say if you'd like yeah kill this thread. I don't think anyone would be too heartbroken.
