any Dido fans around?
must admit to not being a big fan of her material (her part in 'Stan' aside) but her new single has really got into my head. I can't remember what its called - possibly 'i'm in love and always will be' ?
the chorus goes
"i will go down with this ship
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love, and always will be"
anyone know the name? anyhow, i just love the way she sings it. Her voice has a haunting but uplifting tone about it, i think. i don't even particularly like the song, just the way Dido sings it. Really stuck in my mind last night

i dont like Dido. I like Beth Orton (theyre kinda similar arent they thats why i compare) Beth Orton, IMHO, is such a great artist, my fave female singer, far better than Dido, god she rocks! ;D

i respect her as an artist, she just does her thing, writes most of her material on her own.. but it's not my kind of music i agree with you. respect her, but not exactly my kind of thing. although i do like her voice when i'm in the mood for it Anyone seen her video for her new single? it features David Boreanez who plays Angel on TV! he's a legend - and one day i'm gonna walk into a barbers and ask for a haircut like his ;D interesting you should mention Beth Orton - i heard the new Finley Quaye song the other day, and i thought Dido was singing in the background. but it turns out it was Beth Orton! i was surprised at how similar they sound. btw, talking of britpop's prime - Finley Quaye released a great song back then called 'Sun Is Shining' which i love. and although its hardly typical britpop, it always reminds me of the era |

oooh i cant get anough of her new song! i can just relate to it so strongly!
the way shes talking about how she loves someone and tells them but shes sorta scared of rejection cos she left him heart broken oooh its just fucking great!! really can relate to it cos ive been into a simliar situation.
i wasnt really a fan of her debut album though but i think this album is gonna be a lot better. she seems to be writing deeper and meaningful stuff now well more meaningful then what was on her last album

saw the video yesterday. it was pretty good with some nice effects. Don't you think she looks really different now? i think she's lost a lot of weight.
but i turned up the volume and didn't catch the "i will go down on wilco part". i guess they edited it for tv. damn the censors.
