Its only a 30 second clip and the sound quality isn't quite perfect- but its pretty much the finished article. Its a great song with a sing along chorus - but judge it for yourselves. not bad. i can't believe i downloaded it though
the music sounds to upbeat for REM. not enough angst. but still good.
but i guess stipe is more happier now after he made that certain anouncement a while back...

what you mean when he announced to the world that he's as gay as you are?? oh yeah i remember that..... i don't get why REM have this image of making depressing music?  of course, they've done their fair share of downbeat ballads, slow songs etc. but if people would actually listen to their songs, and think of all the upbeat songs they've done (losing my religion, great beyond, sidewinder sleeps tonight, daysleeper, shiny happy people.....) you'd realise that they're largely misunderstood! listen to their album 'Monster' and you'll get a shock and Bad Day rocks!!! |

He just doesn't care what sex a person is - if he falls in love with them, he goes for it. although he has a boyfriend right now - so i think that makes him gay  he's strange - but he's a legend!! |

Bad Day will be on your local radio stations over the next few weeks! it debuted on BBC Radio 1 this morning so listen out for it!! i have the full studio version and will upload it later for anyone who wants it  |

now that i came to listen to it a couple o times, i must say that i don't particularly like the vocals on that track -BD.. the drums are ok, the guitars sound cool.. is it gonna be the new single then??

The vocals on the live version are so much better - more aggressive, than on the studio version. i don't know why they changed them? its a shame. but after a few listens the studio version sounds great as well the vocals sound better on the full version as well, that clip you've heard doesn't include the backing vocals I'll upload the full one later. yeah its the new single - out in a months time ish. It will be followed by the release of the Best of REM. and by another single 'Animal' which is also great!!!! another uptempo rocker! it features a chorus where Stipe screams I'M AN ANIMAAAAALLLLLLLLLL, over some top backing vocals! |

Pure REM! actually Bad Day was written at the same time as it which is why they sound alike (and actually used to contain similar lyrics) i'm so sad |

Just email me it will ya! talk about demanding..... i'n not sure why it didn't work? its a real media file so if you don't have a real player - it won't work. i'll try and find another download link for you thing is, the only ones i've found so far are stream-only - no downloads. so i can't email it to you. sorry as if you care..... ;D |
