WHO star Pete Townshend is likely to escape charges over child pornography allegations.
Plans are being drawn up to caution the rock star -- a move that would spare him a damaging court case but which would require him to admit guilt and leave him with a police record.

The Who guitarist, 57, was arrested two months ago after admitting he paid to access an illegal child pornography site. But he insisted he was not a pedophile and had done so only for "research".

Police got his name, credit card details and e-mail address from the US Postal Inspection Service, which found them on a list of 7272 names after a sick Internet website was smashed in Texas. More than 1300 arrests have been made.

As much of a talented musician the man is, or was, he should not get an ounce of reprieve. He belongs in jail or some sort of rehabiliation along with the rest of the sickos who pray on young children and exploit them.
