Memphis gave us Elvis, L.A.: The Doors, Seattle: Nirvana, Detroit: Motown, Madonna and Eminem. And now Montgomery has given us Trustcompany. Not a traditionally rock-n-roll place, the Alabama city, famous for its civil rights history, is now also a visible location on the rock map. With their debut album The Lonely Position of Neutral, Trustcompany emerge as one of the few fresh acts of 2002. And they don't sound anything like that other band from Montgomery – Lynyrd Skynyrd.
