Haven't downloaded Gemma Hayes yet.
I absolutely love - Lover You Should've Come Over - Last Goodbye - Mojo Pin
Yes I went to his website to find out more and I had not realized he died. Such a shame talent gone at such a young age. Hope his music continues to live on, b/c he has some great stuff!
Thx again for the recommendation. Keep them coming!! ;D

You kind of could see it coming in his lyrics. I mean the whole grace album has a suicidal vibe to me.

Some say he was drunk and fell into the water. Some say he was pushed. Most people believe it was suicide though, inluding me.

Interesting. Yes when you read his lyrics they are quite dark. I can see the suicide relation, which makes it even sadder. He would have had a great career ahead of him. Especially since he had such a big following when he started out. another good one lost.

Yeah his dad's music is pretty good too.... I was watching a documentary on Jeff and it was saying that he wanted to go for a swim in the mississippi river and he was on his way to record some more of his album and he was really happy and his friend who was with him didn't go in the water and apparently the current took Jeff under...... That's what the documentary said anyways.... So who's sampled Gemma Hayes then? What do you think of her? and yes i do agree he would of been huge if he was still alive it's a shame really

Yes I liked Gemma Hayes, but I tell you the best pick is definitely Jeff Buckley.
I did listen to some of Daysleeper's recommendations to me such as Badly Drawn Boy, and I am equally impressed.
Thanks much!! ;D

JJ72 singers voice s kinda screthy but i find it suits the music though it can be soft and then it can be roar!

i just saw his dad Tim Buckley for the first time last night on the old grey whistle test. they look similar and their voices are very much alike - i was surprised at how much they sound like each other. different styles of music, although i've only heard a few songs by them. can you recommend some Tim buckley songs nat? he seems pretty good. proper old school RnB - the way it should be!! i'm downloading mojo pin now

Im suprised no1 has mentioned Hallelujah. All of Grace is beautiful, I even love the religious carol, but Hallelujah is the most beautiful piece of music ever put to record I reckon. He was a great guitarist too, but not flashy like. For good upbeat rock, try Eternal Life, its probably Jeff at his rockingest.
