We all know Oasis is king of Brit Pop, but what about second place?
To me, it has to be Pulp. Blur's lyrics are no where near as good. Pulp also sound much better. Im gonna download Cocker's solo album now, it better be as good

I like modern life is rubbish and the great escape is ok but His'n'Hers, Different Class and This is Hardcore are classic albums..... it has to be Pulp
But imo second place should be the Verve

I like both bands, but I prefer Pulp.
Elastica's debut is my fave britpop album though! (not including Oasis)

I like both but I prefer Blur, Ocean Colour Scene and Elastica are worth mentioning as well though.

Pulp, hands down. not taking anything away from Blur, but Pulp seems like a more focused band to me.

tough to say... not a big fan of Blur, but Pulp never made it here, so it's hard to say they'd be a second placer
