That's hard, as a prog fan I can't choose ie: 60s/70s-Genesis, Yes 80's-Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Metallica 90's/2000's-Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Opeth So yeah

60s and 90s for me, can't choose between the two.
maybe I'll go for the 60s cos there was no spice girls, or backstreet boys, or n'sync, or hanson, limp bizkit, or korn, or marilyn manson

i mean today, we have decades and decades of music avalable to us, never before has any generation had so much choice, i mean you could walk into HMV today and pick up a Beatles CD, a Cream CD, a U2 CD, an Oasis CD and say a Coldplay CD, and in no other time obviously could you do that, so speaking like that, their is no better time for music than right here right now

Depends mate. If we are talking about the music produced this decade then this is easily the worst decade of music. If we are talking about the amount of music on offer then this decade wins becaue of the 40 years of music available to us. But then you could say next decade is better than this cos it will have even more music on offer.

Ok so your choosing over which decade has the best music avaliable. I was choosing which decade produced the best music and for me that distinction belongs to the 90's. Which decade do you believe produced the best music Dom?

Well i only know the 90s and 80s in detail, so it would be ignorant of me to choose say the britpop 90s movement over say that of the 60s, while the 90s saw the likes of Oasis, Blur & Radiohead realeasing brilliant records, we did saw some awful awful bands that had no right to realease a CD, or lift an instrument never mind being signed come to the forefront. I think the 70s was one of the weakest, i think its a decade thats greatly exadurated, along with the 80s. Bono said about this topic, we take the best bits of the past with us, and i thing thats what we have to do, take songs like, Pride in the Name of Love, Waterloo Sunset, Wonderwall, Fix you with us, rather than concentrating on a certain era i will say now, in a whole, theyre is a better standard of music than there has been before, but we dont just have a band of huge magnatude coming through, like say Oasis were 10 years ago, and U2 25 years ago.

I can't believe I'm the only one that voted for the 60's YEah, I thought that had been Tam's vote! I'll go 90's. It's just my music, it's almost all in there. They all are very close though! -->Doors, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Stones... in the 70's. Beatles, Dylan, also the Stones here and Pink Floyd in the 60's. My Smiths, Guns n' Roses, Aerosmith in the 80's!
