rubber soul as it came out before revolver, makes it the first classic.
before that help isn't far off being a classic either

Other - A Hard Day's Night. Incidentally, it was their first entirely original album.

if you're asking for favorites, it's revolver. but i think that all beatles albums after "a hard day's night" were classics (except for "yellow submarine" and "beatles for sale.")

Altho their first 4 albums were good, I wouldn't quite consider them "classics". They have some "classic songs" on 'em... but 3 of the 4 had as many cover songs as originals. Plus, there is a bit of filler on each album here and there. i reckon Help! was their first classic.. Help! (Lennon / McCartney) The Night Before (Lennon / McCartney) You've Got To Hide Your Love Away (Lennon / McCartney) I Need You (Harrison) Another Girl (Lennon / McCartney) You're Going To Lose That Girl (Lennon / McCartney) Ticket To Ride (Lennon / McCartney) Act Naturally (Morrison / Russell) It's Only Love (Lennon / McCartney) You Like Me Too Much (Harrison) Tell Me What You See (Lennon / McCartney) I've Just Seen A Face (Lennon / McCartney) Yesterday (Lennon / McCartney) Dizzy Miss Lizzy (Williams) absolutely agree... its got some of their most loved songs on it, and the 2 worst songs on the album imo are the covers... Plus, Help! marked George Harrison's reemergence as a songwriter, foreshadowing the great songs that he would write on later albums. Many people, including the band, consider Rubber Soul and Revolver to be somewhat of a "two part album" as they are quite similar. However... I've always considered Rubber Soul and Revolver to be parts 2 and 3 of a trilogy, with part 1 being Help!. Never saw the Help! movie tho... I havent heard many good things...

If you're a fan of The Beatles' personalities, you'll probably like Help!. Not as good as A Hard Day's Night, but it holds it's own.

With The Beatles, for fucks sake; perfect pop record. i agree.. especially the US release as Meet The Beatles, changed the music world.. if you're asking for favorites, it's revolver. but i think that all beatles albums after "a hard day's night" were classics (except for "yellow submarine" and " beatles for sale.") Beatles For Sale has some great stuff on it.. No Reply, I'm A Loser, What You're Doing, I Dont Want To Spoil The Party, Follow The Sun, 8 Days A Week.. The covers on it are good too - Rock N Roll Music, Kansas City, Mr. Moonlight, Tryin' To Be My Baby.. Prolly not classic in The Beatles sense, but outside of that context I'd consider it pretty amazing...
