I think it would be huge ! The Beatles songs should have another change. Robbie Williams (sorry I know he's a feck) did a tribute to those rat pack lads ... and that kinda music has been given another chance to the youth generation. Oasis has always been compared to The Beatles, and can't think of another band then Oasis to do a tribute to The Beatles songs of back then. The Beatles songs deserve to be around again with the youth. What d'ya think ? (I actually expect a "hands of the beatles"or a full "YES"

In my oppinion it's not. I think it's a good idea in a way. Maybe right now isn't the best time, but Oasis always said that the Beatles are of great influence to them. Noel and Liam do not make a secret of that.
And yes, Oasis somehow ARE Beatle wannabe's. Remember Liam in the Champange Supernova videoclip? He was pretending to be Lennon. Remember the qoute : "John Lennon thought he was god, I just think i'm John Lennon." ? Remember the videoclip of "All Around The World" ? That was a parody on Yellow Submarine. Remember their covers of Helter Skelter and I Am The Walrus? Noel doing Help! and You've got to hide your love away and those kinda songs? How about those haircuts (for sure in the the time of DM and MG) And how about Let There Be Love, their latest single release? That's sooooo Lennonish. A mix between Let It Be and Imagine. They even got the son of Ringo Star in the band now.
You CAN'T tell me Oasis aren't Beatles wannabe's. It's not a bad thing. Oasis is the only band that can justice to the great work of the best band of all time, the fab four, The Beatles ....

I'd prefer they would split up than seeing they're doing this.

Well, yes, they are very very very heavily influenced by the Beatles, particularly Lennon. But it's not necessary to point it all out. There's a huge difference between integrating Beatles style into your music and recording an entire album designed as a tribute to them. Infusing Oasis with the Beatles is just what Oasis does and that doesn't harm them. However, when it comes to just covering them plain and simple it'd be awful I'd love to hear it, though
