id go for the fact of the his voice cant handle the strain of a long tour now along with the cigs and alcohol on tour (not being drunk but just it affecting his voice), if you listen to gigs since 1999 (when suposidly liams voice started to change) when they havent done a gig in ages (rock in rio, jools holland, berlin 2002, GGTIA w/ Gem and at the start of any tour) there even seems to be a big big difference to the middle and end of a tour.

it's true his voice can't handle 80 shows a year (who can?) but it's also true his voice on the album is soundboarded sometimes. theres no way he could ever sing like he did on LTBL or KTDA or even GGTIA (although he does a good job live it's not quite like on the album) in a gig so it's a bit of both

Can't take the strain, he needs a vocal coach (no kidding)

Listen to Acoutic promtional songs done by Liam (late show performing GGTIA) and hes on top form.
Lets not forget that this tour is one of their biggest theyve done so his voice is gonna be slacking by now.
