give me a 5 but preferably 6 speed anyday ! driving stick shift is part of the thrill of driving and enjoyment (except for when stuck on the capital beltway ! ) ~ love the way you can feel the road and turns ! ~ my friend stephanie taught me on the back roads of penna. when I was 16 ! it was a VW GTI ! (I had to share an automatic " beater car" with my bro and sis...) Vrooooom ! been madferrit ever since !

It's definitly a way to pay better attention to what your doing. Pluse you can outrun any automatic anyday.
I wish I had a six speed

why do we still need gears anyway? isn't it all a bit draconic? we have to fiddle about with fuck off gears, why can't we just concentrate on the road?
and while i'm at it, why are cars able to go over the national speed limit? makes no sense. why can cars go 140mph when the speed limit is 80mph (or whatever it is). senseless.

strange thing i've noticed in recent times - people in North America are looking for manual boxes in their cars these days , while more and more people in the UK (and possible europe?) are opting for automatic transmissions in their cars these days.

There are places in the US where there are no speed limits. Plus some people love to go fast and you can't stop them from doing that. If you make it so the car can only go so fast they'll just put new parts in it that makes it go faster.
