that gospel that was discovered in the past century says that religion shouldnt be organised, and that church is anywhere people feel they need god and pray together, which i feel makes alot more sense, the vatigan have locked it up and basically thrown away the key callin it bullocks

organized religion is not a part of my life currently.. spirituality IS..
I also think there is a HUGE difference in b/t "religion" and "FAITH."
I DO have faith and practice it daily and I believe in God.
Conventionality and what society or the church is saying today is just not "MY TRUTH."
I developed a phrase over the summer saying "Because of God, I can't go to church anymore." this stems from my growing concern of USA churches and their links to right wing fanaticism - the bush administration.
However, organized religion may not be bullshit for those that feel the need for that kind of "structure in their lives." I do not care what ppl want to believe. to each his own. just don't go judgin' and preachin' to the rest of us. NO RELIGION OR SPIRITUALITY THROUGH COERCION. cheers..

I think that religion has a distinct function in everyone's life. Therefore, organized religion doesn't work.
And if there's something that pisses me off it's religious extremists and those who use their beleifs to direct society. For fuck's sake there a so many different religions....

I disagree with the statement that "religion is one of the biggest killers". Yes, through history religion has been a key reason why people have started wars, or the means through which disputes were created. But I don't know any major religion that orders its followers to go out and kill all those that oppose it within it's doctrines. So religion as a thing on its own doesn't kill anyone. Greed, corruption, deception, intolerance, hatred etc are the things twist religion and cause people to shit stir around the world.
