jim morrison was a very good musician and his lyrics were amazing. I think the doors is one of the most under rated bands of all time

jimi all the way, and i don't think it is very close...
morrison- wrote a lot of the lyrics, while the band composed the music. A very distinct voice but really nothing revolutionary.
cobain- wrote most of the music and lyrics and had a unique voice. Was at the fore front of the angst driven 'grunge' music scene that led to a lot of imitiators. An average musician at best.
joplin- a very unique voice that did very little of her own writing. A sort of link in the blues chain dating back to bessie-ella-billy and etta (among others).
hendrix- created a style of playing that influenced all that heard him (from clapton to page) and used skill and finesse that has never been equaled. Wrote almost all of his songs, and proved (esp. in electric ladyland) to be a master of lyrics as well as music. Sang in his own distinct style and was a showman for the ages.
to me hendrix is a hand's down winner. I can't believe he is losing to jim morrison. wow.

And sorry Eva, but Janis Joplin isn't as well known or popular as the other 3 so more have heard their music.

Dude. Your a fuckin idiot. Ask anyone to name 1 Doors, Nirvana or Hendrix song and they'll give you one. Doors will be Light My Fire, Nirvana will have Smells Like Teen Spirit and Hendrix has Voodoo Chile. All more famous than any of Janis Joplins songs. Don't delude yourself just cos you really love an artist.

Just because someone is more well known doesn't mean they're better.

Dude, please. ;D. I knew you would be blonde by saying that.
I said that the other 3 are much more well known than Joplin which is a reason why she's got the least votes.

I am partially blonde yes ...But I wasn't arguing with you...it just looks like from your posts you were implying that because they were more well known they were better. Just the way it came across to me.
