I dislike most of their tunes, but there are a few that are beyond classic. I would never buy an album of theirs, but when they're on the radio I'm def. up for it

They weren't hippies though, read some books about them and learn about them.
Yeah infact they didn't want anything to do with hippie flower power movement... I great quote I heard " The Doors left flower power to rot on the vine." Shows were riots many times, banned in certain states,and so on... Infact parents didn't want their kids listen to the doors.. People didn't want them in there city... Infact later years beatles were hippies, but The Doors never ever promote peace nor anything to with hippie movement.. Close thing they were was the drugs..
