what i would consider calling british invasion bands are fuckin phony bandwagon riding vaginas who adapted to the times and fashion to make more money. britpop bands never did that and because of that and my beliefs i have to say that i prefer britpop. also, i wasnt around in the late 60s or early 70s and i was around in the mid 90s

forgot Radiohead.
But I'd say that the only Invasion I'm MAD fer is Beatles, meanwhile there are a lot of Britpoppers I'm mad fer.
DOn't get me wrong the invasion is tops. I've got a lot of Who albums....

you cannot compare the 2 really , aside from OASIS the rest of the brit pop bands (not that i consider OASIS POP) did not make a impact the way the the beatles, stones, who, kinks, did......britpop was fun it had some great tunes ..but only OASIS can go toe to toe with the true rock immortals like the above mentioned bands especially here in the states, TO ME ITS NO CONTEST the first wave will always be the best and the coolest...ITS WHERE OASIS WERE BORN , ITS WHERE THEY LEARNED HOW TO BE COOL (SEE THE STONES) HOW TO WRITE TIMELESS CLASSICS (SEE THE FAB4) WHERE THEY LEARNED HOW TO HAVE A PROPER SIBLING BUST UP (SEE THE DAVIES BROTHERS) AND ITS WHERE THEY LEARNED KICK ASS ROCK (SEE THE WHO) CASE CLOSED ON THIS

Britpop - simply because I love Oasis more than any of those other bands and Blur aren't that bad either.
