When the Beatles developed, the gap between the songwriters style went more evident. John primal concern was using music to canalize his expressions his thoughts and sometimes considered Paul´s passion for melody lame,, like perhaps in Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da. Paul was a huge creative force in the latest period of the beatles and som consider him their engine in the last years; most of the time he prefered the beauty of the form than anything else in a song; and in fact, most of his songs are beautiful; In whose side are you on?, or you are in both,,

I think both were as important. They were unbeatable as a team with George as excellent back-up. The Beatles had a lot of songwriting depth. 3 excellents writers and even Ringo colud make a decent tune.
