I think he's a fucking genius.
I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but some of the things being said are truly disgusting! No matter what he's doing or what he has done he doesn't deserve some of the comments being made.

But Dilly boy, he deserves some of the things that are said about him. He got kicked out of his band because he is a stupid junkie. They tried their best to get that twat to stop doing smack every day but he made it a soap opera and now he is a media-whore. And he hasn't made a classic album yet despite his talent and until he does people will treat him this way. And also his performance at Live8 was totally useless. He could not be arsed. At least Velvet Revolver tried.

A media whore huh? You really think that he wants all this attention on his social behaviour? I don't think so somehow.
And I actually liked his performance at Live 8, as did other people on here.
And the classic album thing, how long have his albums been out for? Not long enough to be considered classic anyways, but they will be imo.
...And it is funny how the person who made the band was the one that got kicked out :/

he is a gifted musician. but he needs to sort himself out, i mean REALLY some kind of brainwashing is necessary here..
drugs dont fuel talent. as soon as he would be clear in his head there'd be some good stuff to expect from him..and hopefully together with carl again..
the first libs album was great! it's par with the strokes debut

he has amazing talent and no one or nothing can take that away from him. he doesn't deserve to labelled 'scum of the earth' and all that shit...pete's just doing what pete does. he needs help and i hope so much that he will get the help he needs before it is too late. just because he has a crack cocaine and heroin addiction everyone rules him out or looks down on him, yet his drug taking does not in anyway hurt anyone else. it's his own choice, i just wonder when he will see the light and realise what he is doing - wrecking himself. i thought he was fantastic and live 8 and that make up looked very hot. top sig Dillyboy!  him and elton seemed to perform well together and it was clear from pete's comments after and before the performance he thinks quite highly of elton. |

i really dont see how people can call him a great talent and a genious! hes done fuck all
The Libertines were great, but hardly ground breaking stuff they were just another good band which wasnt all down to him i might add! and the babyshambles are at best average
hes slowly fucking up any chance he may of had of becoming great (hes certainly nowhere near great at the minute)

i like carl alot better hes the real rocker. sure i like it when pete comes in and does the slurred vocals, they're good for a laugh. but i font like this new babyshambles stuff. fuck forever i just hate.

even though he's a junkie, think about sid vicious, janis joplin, hendrix, the new york dolls, our boys from 95-98... all major drug users who were musical icons

i love dont look back into the sun, imo his new band are shite thou and his was bad a Live 8, but the dosent take away from his contributions with Carl in the Libs
