id love to have seen zak as a permenent member! For just being Ringo's son it would be cool. but i saw them play with zak last summer and the general drumming was good, but the songs just kinda plodded along (IMO) there was no real groove to it. Bring back Whitey i say!!

zak starkey is the best rock drummer of this generation. with that said, the best rock drummer of this generation should be in the best rock band of this generation. the lineup at glastonbury is ultimate oasis. don't listen to the people longing for the 1994-1998 era, cause that's bullshit. andy, gem and zak knock bonehead/tony/alan/guigsy right off the scale! they're better musicians 150 times over, and let's face it, these guys ROCK!!!

alan was a fantastic drumer was he not? alan was very good, but zak is probably the best drummer rock has seen since john bonham's death.

Dave Grohl and Joey Jordison are both fantastic drummers but i'd say Zak is better.
I'm really not sure about the lineups...
Guigs and Bonehead were cool but Gem and Andy could easily outplay them.
I doubt that Guigs and Bonehead would suit any of the new songs and they could never write as well as Gem and Andy so...
I love Bonehead and Guigsy but Gem and Andy win

Definitely prefer the Bonehead, Guigsy, and Whitey lineup. Completely solid during the Morning Glory tour, even more so than the current lineup.

I think Whitey is a much groovier drummer than Zak. Theres no way Starkey could have played that mad off-kilter beat on Wonderwall the way Alan did. Or DLBIA.

I totally agree. Zak is good, but just doesn't fit in with Oasis.

I really like Gem, he seems quite normal and funny in any interviews. In the Definitely Maybe DVD he says he likes Shakermaker because at the end it sounds like 'shake along with Gem' funny man.
