zak. he's the only one who can actually play. unlike tony & whitey he can actually keep beat, not do shitty fills... i can go on forever.

i thought zak did fu*kin amazing considering it was his 1st and 2nd gig. the guy was brilliant. zak brought what alan never had to the shows... energy, excitement, and power. yes, he was off beat a bit, but they were his first 2 gigs! you'd be pretty nervous when your 2nd gig with a band is headlining glastonbury.

If an Oasis tribute band can reproduce the songs to a reasonable quality within a few days, you'd think "the hottest thing in rock 'n' roll" could at least keep the beat.

I play the drums myself (pretty well) and I can ensure you guys oasis should've stick with Whitey.. It is crap that Alan was out of beat ever... His fills weren't that original but oasis doesn't need an explosive drummer like Zak. It's just background, they must focus on their sang and guitars. Zak was way too loud and heavy on the drums at glastonbury. Off course, it's a great drummer but not for oasis

At last I'm not alone! I can't believe so many people think Alan is a poor drummer. What the F*ck do you thinks WONDERWALL would have sounded like with "ZINGO" on drums?....Lots of crash symbols with a fast roll at the end! I'm afraid one song doesn't make "the hottest thing in rock'n'roll" better than Whitey.

I have to agree with JayG, White is the best drummer! Why did he leave, is it cos Oasis have sacked him or somethin?

Alan White is the best. He was chosen as their drummer for the this very reason.
When he was fifteen he auditioned for Gem's band, and the only reason he was rejected was because he was too young.
I doubt the ability of anyone here, to tell whether Zak or Alan is better, based on the live performances they have heard.
