And the backup vocals are atrocious, Noel's sorely missed there. Their voices worked so well together. Apparently Mike Moore was upset because the BBC took the non distorted feed from his amp for the broadcast.

Why does Liam's band still sound like a tribute band? Just hear the difference between these two songs:
Liam's band sound so thin and weak. Maybe it's the drummer, or just Noel playing really loud, I don't know. But it's making Liam sounding weak & tired.
The 2nd one is loads better. Agreed, rkid sounds much better on the Glasto vid. Too bad Chris and Gem are with the Birds.

Quite comparable actually. Force Awakens = First 2 albums. Safe, great moments, back on track. Last jedi = new stuff. Hated by most and a sense of complete ruin. But hey it still sells. The new stuff is great, fuck off with this. This site is infuriating! Infuriating eh? Stick around awhile it's bound to get worse. Music is a subjective thing, I for one am not a fan of the last two EP's, that being said, I'm happy to see Noel experimenting with different types of tracks but at the same time he needn't slag off his fan base hence the whole "backlash" topic. The whole Liam vs Noel fanboy debate is exhausting and boring. No need to tell others of differing opinions to fuck off though.

Is the backlash still growing? The backlash has grown and has gotten a job and a flat of its own. The parents come to tea once a month.

Yeah wasn’t it about Noel Coward and Gertrude someone? I would never have made the connection! Yes, it's about Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence. I also wouldn't make this connection. I like this nod, it's smart and subtle Some folks on youTube are transcribing the lyric as "you angrily said" and now I can't un-hear it. Doesn't explain 'round your " heads" though lol

Great track, great chorus, love how the strings & choir come in and tbe guitar riff @2:13 is really catchy, simple but really helps drive the track from there. Solid 8 for me and on equal ground with Once

4/10 out of respect for the man and his craft but for me this isn't the place and if it is the place then I'm never coming back to this place. Feels like I've heard it before and it's another bland "Dad at the Disco" generic track.

Lennon and McCartney rarely wrote together, mainly at the beginning, but for the most important albums, they didn't. They competed against each other. True, but in the early years it was a true collaboration so yeah it still holds. Cheers The Glimmer Twins completely slipped my mind as well as Page/ Plant

If i had a Gun and Everybodys on the run are somewhat superior. Not to mention only one man wrote those. And What a Life is anthemic as it gets too, and its made to be played live "Only one man wrote those" ... Lennon & McCartney to jazamora93.. "hold my beer" One man wrote Black Star Dancing" as well Cheers

Am I the only one who hates the way he opens up the song. The way he sings it, it's like he's taking the piss. He also sings Be Here Now the same way when doing it live these days. Have listen, see what I mean. Undoubtedly
