No offence but could we all agree to stop reducing her to being the Scissor girl/sister whatever. It's just kinda disrespectful. I wonder how she dealt with all the media mockery... If you're going to go on national TV and play the scissors it's a bit rich to then subsequently complain about being referred to as "scissor-girl". Her mum is probably so proud she's started her own scrapbook of "scissor-girl" press cuttings. She can even borrow her daughter's scissors to clip them out so it's win/win for everybody involved. Anyway she may play the stapler next week so that will kill off the scissor-girl nickname until we think of something else. Stationary-girl? Bonkers-Babe? I agree... It's like that guy that sang to a bunch of mannequins when Liam was on... I can't that any of that foolish seriously. I mean, it's not like the scissors have a purpose. They don't contribute anything to the song. Yet, I can appreciate some of these because they do actually provide sound And purpose.. even the butts- except it looks like it would hurt.

MUSIC NEWS Liam Gallagher opens up about why Stone Roses meant so much to him while growing up
Liam Gallagher backstage with a fan in an Ian Brown mask at Glastonbury 1995 Steve Brown/Photoshot/Getty Images 'Even though it was shit at home, that music was like another dimension' ANDREW TRENDELL @andrewtrendell NOV 2, 2017 1:24 PM EDT
Liam Gallagher has spoken out about his love for The Stone Roses – and how they provided an escape while he was going through ‘family shit at home’ in his youth.
Buy the Liam Gallagher edition of NME Gold here This comes as part of Gallagher being editor of the first edition of NME Gold – a 100-page selection of exclusive interviews and legendary features about his heroes, his esteemed contemporaries, and the artists who have influenced him to become the icon that he is today. Discussing one of his favourite bands The Stone Roses, Gallagher told us that they were an essential influence when he was growing up.
“I remember our kid having ‘Sally Cinnamon’, but it was ‘I Wanna Be Adored’ that first got me,” Liam told NME Gold. “I remember going to school, and my mate Damian, he had an elder brother who was well into them as well, and he was going ‘have you heard that band The Stone Roses? There’s this song called ‘I Wanna Be A Dog’.’
“”I Wanna Be A Dog’? What the fuck’s that about?’ I must have been about 15 or 16, and then when I finally heard the record properly, it had a real fucking summery feel to it, a real lightness to it. And I was going through all this family shit at home and all that, and I just needed a bit of uplifting, you know what I mean? It was like having a B12 shot or something.”
He continued: “I remember around that time, in 1989 or whatever, just sitting in the park, long hot summers, and even though it was shit at home, that music was like another dimension.
Buy this brilliant Oasis-inspired ‘Tea Here Now’ mug “Maybe it was the drugs, but I think it was the music as well. I remember seeing them at Blackpool, Spike Island, and it was just… it’s youth, innit – you look back and nothing will ever compare to it: you’re young, you’ve got no kids, if you’ve got a job, who gives a fuck? You’ve got no bills to pay, you’re going back home to your mam, she’s cooking you breakfast, fucking life is free and easy, you know what I mean? And when you hear it, you go back to them times.”
This comes after Gallagher said that he’d love for Oasis to play a huge gig with both The Stone Roses and The Verve, and even go as far to form a supergroup with them.
“Anyone that would be in a supergroup or that would have anything to do with a supergroup are all solo,” said Gallagher. “There’s far too many solo stars out there for my liking and not enough bands. I’m doing this cause I have to. I’d much prefer to be in a band.
Liam added: “The ideal ones would be the guys out of The Stone Roses. I think they just split up, so that would be good. [Richard] Ashcroft would be good. There’s a lot of people out there, but the majority of them are all doing their own thing. But, if they want to do one, give us a shout. I’ll do it.”

MUSIC NEWS Liam Gallagher on the time he was ‘asked to leave’ Mick Jagger’s house
Liam Gallagher and Mick Jagger Getty Never drop a pill before visiting... ANDREW TRENDELL @andrewtrendell NOV 3, 2017 11:04 AM EDT
Liam Gallagher has revealed that he was once asked to leave Mick Jagger’s house, after dropping a pill before he arrived.
Buy the Liam Gallagher edition of NME Gold here The former Oasis and Beady Eye frontman was speaking as editor of the first edition of NME Gold – discussing the music that helped shape the man he is today through exclusive interviews and archive features with his favourite artists. When talking about his love of The Rolling Stones, Gallagher revealed that a trip to Jagger’s home took a turn for the worse as he was under the influence.
“And Jagger? I went to his house once, in Richmond,” Liam told NME Gold. “Got invited there. Dunno why. I remember getting out of the car and I’d had a pill, I went into the house and I was thinking, ‘that wasn’t a good idea’. There was no music on and I remember coming down the stairs, a bit late, and I was coming up, and I was stood at the end of the stairs, tutting, going ‘where the fuck have you been?’ and ‘where’s the tunes?’
“I think I might have got asked to leave again, as usual. But the Stones, as much as The Beatles were great, The Stones were the ultimate rock n’ roll band as far as I’m concerned. The Beatles were like wizards, where the Stones were the boys, man.”

Ok, this is my opinion but after watching Supersonic and reading past interviews by Andy and other people, I'm not sure if I believe some of accusations from Noel.... now, some are proven facts but I've questioned the validity of the Noel legitimacy Anais fight... 1. There has never been any definite confirmation from any other band members... unless I missed it. 2. If that occurred then why would Meg allow Liam to not just hang out with Anais but to be at her house so many years after... if that had been said about My child, I would NEVER want anything to do with him. And he definitely wouldn't be allowed in my house. Now, maybe she forgave him or he apologized but that just doesn't seem like something you ever forgive and forget. 3. I just have a very hard time believing in anything that Noel says, unless it is obviously proven- which are many things. * http://instagram.com/p/U_6U_azHlV * http://instagram.com/p/U_6pNkTHl1

I'm glad that he's acknowledging his limits... everyone has them. And imo it's more important to be able to perform on tour then a tv show. Much respect.

First of all, I have to admit that I know absolutely nothing about the technical aspects of music and concerts.. so, how does the sound engineering work? Do they have a set person for the tour or is that left up to the venue? This seems to be very inconsistent so far.

that must be a UK or European thing bc I have gone to 100’s of shows and never had this happen once I may be wrong but I don't think it's as much of a drinking culture in US, certainly not in the bits I've been to. In the UK esp lots of people tend to get totally hammered and when you're in the middle of a crowd like that with a full bladder it's a generally a long way to the nearest toilet. Well, this lady would vomit if I had piss thrown on me.. And I consider myself immune to many things being from New Orleans.

I've noticed this issue every time BBC has been in control of the sound... pretty sure it's them and not necessarily LG.. but could be completely wrong.

i saw him last night at newcastle and can honestly say it pissed all over some of the oasis gigs ive been to While at the Oasis gigs you're just likely to be pissed all over. What's up with the throwing of pee? yes, it's been years since I've been in a "pit" at a concert but I don't remember that happening in the '90s. And I've been to some crazy "mosh pit" concerts like beastie boys, the Ramones ( in which I crowdsurfed and somehow managed to get on stage & rock some before I got booted) Rage against the machine

I think it's because of his appreciation of his fan and he's simply enjoying being back on stage. Also, you tend appreciate things more when you hit rock bottom.

As I stated in an earlier thread. If the song was any good, the scissors would get a pass as being funny. The song is filler at best and just shows pure pretentiousness. That isn't what made Noel a superstar and was sure to piss off some long time fans. Stop giving him a pass for doing stupid shit that Liam would be hung on a cross for. Let us say we disagree about the song and leave it at that. As for Liam, didn't he use a Chinese fan (or something similar) as a prop? I for one don't have an issue with that either. It's just a bit of fun. That "fan" was especially made for Liam by a fan and member on here so please don't go there... he brought it on stage as an appreciation for his fans, which I think was an awesome gesture. And besides, it's not just the "scissors", to me it's the attitude.

I've been saying this for awhile... it's very different vibe on Noel's thread if you have criticism compared to criticism on Liam thread. And i don't think it is just somes perspective... more people are having the same experience. And it's not just because some are "Liam fanboys"...
If Liam had a girl playing scissors on stage... there would have been a completely different response from what is on the Noel thread. I'm starting to think that Noel is trying to prove a point with the scissors, which is He can do no wrong. And don't even get me started on those VIP packages.

I’m still getting paid Instagram ads on my feed for Noel’s Radio City show in NYC. It’s not sold out yet and his last ones sold out in minutes. I think this VIP shit really fucked things up. I agree. His gig in new Orleans is ridiculous with the vip. He should have chosen smaller venues, too.

This is the 'Your Liam thoughts for the day' thread but you're talking about Noel. Weird But how can I dare defy the overlord super duper high flying eagle Noel the GOAT Gallagher on "Your Noel thoughts for the day" without being accused of being a dumb ape incapable of understanding the sheer genius of Noel's most recent output and the prowess of his new musician who can play the scissors better than Edward Scissorhands? At least here I can rant a little bit about Noel without being bothered. It's cathartic. .

Meet the man covered in tattoos of rock star Liam Gallagher is playing to a capacity crowd at Metro Radio Arena and among the thousands of fans off to see him is superfan Andrew BY SIMON DUKE16:55, 1 NOV 2017UPDATED17:18, 1 NOV 2017 A full house is expected at Metro Radio Arena on Wednesday night as Liam Gallagher plays the first UK date of his solo tour and among the thousands there will be superfan Andrew Holmes. The 32 year old from Jarrow was one of many ticket holders who headed into Newcastle nice and early as rumours swirled that the Oasis frontman would pay a visit to his store Pretty Green, which re-launched in new premises on Grainger Street hours earlier. We caught up with Andrew as he enjoyed a pre-gig pint and he was happy to show us his Liam and Oasis inspired tattoos, including one of his idol’s face on his thigh. And showing that he has love for Liam's sibling as well, Andrew also has a tattoo of Noel Gallagher on his other leg. Liam fan Andrew Holmes from Jarrow “I went through some tough times when I was younger and I think Oasis’ music helped me through,” Andrew told The Chronicle. Read MoreWhat time is Liam Gallagher on stage on tour and who is supporting him? “I must have seen them about 20 times now and now to be seeing Liam doing his solo stuff in Newcastle is amazing. I’m looking forward to hearing For What It’s Worth and Wall of Glass particularly. “I’ve got a tattoo in honour of Pretty Green and I’m really hoping he’ll turn up so I can get him to sign the middle of it.” Andrew wasn’t the only superfan waiting outside of Pretty Green in the hope of seeing Liam, Shields lasses Jill Campbell and Joanne Connor who’ve been friends for 20 years now thanks to Oasis. Between them they listed Morning Glory, Bring It On Down, Champagne Supernova and Live Forever as the songs they most wanted to hear Liam do.

As you were xx JORDAN BASSETT NOV 1, 2017 12:53 PM EDT So, Liam Gallagher has rolled out a couple more Oasis bangers as part of his ‘As You Were’ tour. The new solo album (his first ever) has gone down a bloody storm and, riding high on the good vibes, he belted out ‘Some Might Say’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ at Weston Airport in Dublin and ‘Supersonic’ and ‘I’m Outta Time’ at the SSE Arena in Belfast. He’s never performed these songs as a solo artist before, so it’s safe to say that the crowds were absolutely bloody madferrit. BUY: The Liam Gallagher edition of NME Gold Yet this is not the first time that Liam’s knocked out a couple of beloved tunes penned by his older sibling. The two are very much not on speaking terms (Liam recently referred to Noel as “my former brother”) but, musically speaking, they continue to be forever entwined. He’s been treating crowds to Oasis classics throughout this tour, much of which he seen him to take to the stage to the familiar sounds of ‘Fuckin’ In The Bushes’, taken from the band’s 2000 album ‘Standing on the Shoulder of Giants’. BUY: This excellent Oasis-inspired ‘Tea Here Now’ mug Although the emphasis has clearly been on ‘As You Were’, which took many by surprise with its lightness of touch (perhaps attributable to co-writes from a crack team of songwriters that includes Greg Kurstin, acclaimed gun for hire who’s worked with the likes of Adele and Kelly Clarkson), Liam has peppered setlists with Oasis favourites from ‘Wonderwall’ to ‘Be Here Now’ via ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’. Here, then, one place, are all the Oasis songs Liam’s done lately. ‘Rock’N’Roll Star’ at the Manchester Ritz ‘D’You Know What I Mean’ at Glastonbury ‘Wonderwall’ at Benicassim ‘Morning Glory’ at Exit festival in Serbia ‘Slide Away’ at Lollapalooza Paris ‘Live Forever’ (with Chris Martin) at One Love Manchester ‘Be Here Now ‘ at Pinkpop festival in the Netherlands ‘I’m Outta Time’ at SSE Arena Belfast ‘Some Might Say’ at Weston Airport, Dublin ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ at SSE Arena Belfast

I hope he didn't get her on board just to be "out there", because she's more talented than using scissors on an MOR rock song. I still don't understand the point of the scissors.... too distracting and awkward
